Assured Events has spent a decade organising and running corporate events for a wide range of businesses.
The Cheadle event management specialists work with companies all over the world and count Coca-Cola, Michael Page Recruitment and Five Guys Burgers & Fries among their clients.
The team plans and runs a range of corporate events, from conferences to incentive activities, team away days, awards ceremonies and exhibitions, from the initial brief to a post-event evaluation.
But, founder and MD Karl Perry is keen to point out, they work with a diverse range of different size companies.
Karl says: “Awards and conferences are a very big part of our business but we aren’t just a conference company and we don’t just organise gala dinners, we have a very broad range of services.
“Our events are more than just about getting a bunch of people together in a room – it’s about using creativity and engaging people with theming and activities to deliver a unique experience, whether it’s an incentive trip, exhibition or team day.”
Assured Events celebrates 10 years in 2016 and, after riding out the recession, hit a turnover of £1m in 2014, which rose to £1.5m in 2015 and has grown from one employee to seven.
Karl, who has a marketing background, adds: “We are in the people business, marketing on a very personal level.
“Corporations are very specific in what they want and what the budget is, but very often someone has to organise the event on top of their day job.
“Our clients see us as problem solvers. We run everything from managing the suppliers to finding the venue – all the things the client doesn’t want to worry about.
“We also establish the objectives at the beginning of the journey otherwise how will you know if your event has been a success three months later?”
Assured Events organise events all over the UK and abroad, including in New York, Dubai and Iceland.
Karl adds: “We work with internationally known companies and some less well-known companies, all with differing requirements.
“After 10 years we are still working with some of the same companies we worked with a decade ago – most of our business comes from referrals.
“We have projects running through until 2017 and that gives us a great deal of stability and also the flexibility to look around for different types of projects.”
